Dr. Amrit Lota has been passionate about research throughout his career, continually striving to drive innovation and advancements in patient care. Since completing his PhD at Imperial College London, he has focused his research on heart muscle diseases, leveraging advanced cardiac imaging and genetics.

His current work involves AI modelling on national patient datasets to deepen our understanding of heart muscle diseases and develop predictive tools to prevent future adverse events.

Dr. Lota is honoured to serve as a PhD supervisor and his Fellow was recently awarded funding from the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). This new funding will support his ongoing research, furthering the goal of improving early diagnosis and intervention in cardiovascular diseases.
